NAJD AL TAHER
"I WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE"

It’s a concept brand. Unisex. It’s a life style. It’s clothes. It’s furniture. Its scents; perfumes. It’s a visual communication platform. It’s all about modernizing our authenticity, folklore and culture.  It celebrates diversity and pushes and empower our youth and uniqueness. It’s urban.

I am looking back in our history at the aspect of design that was available, exchanged and practiced whether it was the clothes that was worn,  or the furniture that was built, or the music interments they played and so on. I’m looking into their details how they’re put together, the patterns, the writings and up-cycling them and using bits and parts of them in this project. It’s all about experimenting and looking at the usual from a different angle and basically thinking what could be if this was presented in that way. It’s folklore meets punk rock chic.  And the main and maybe only language presented on the clothes will be “Arabic” I think that Arabic fonts are beautiful and way under used, I’m trying to bring it back to the cool scene, I think it’s already there but my choice to use it depends entirely

It truly lives up to the meaning of unisex in that every single piece gets designed suitable for both sexes.  No piece will be made and labeled for one.

Bajelah is not selling clothes, it’s more than that, it’s upcycling and re-informing and inforcing the new generations with our rich haritage and culture. It’s all about celebraiting who you are, embracing it and learnign to fluant it.

It’s a movment in what it stands for...
